Fern Howe Guest House is a B&B in Keswick, situated within the village of Braithwaite.
Braithwaite is a popular tourist destination within the Lake District National Park World Heritage Site, with its quaint charm, three public houses, village store and local
walks. It is gloriously located between Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake, and is in close proximity to Whinlatter Forest, as well as being on the Coast to Coast (C2C)
cycle route. Fern Howe is set in the perfect location for families, cyclists, walkers, photographers and artists alike, with the vast array of local attractions on offer.
Fern Howe provides Keswick accommodation with parking, along with high quality, food, drink and toiletries to ensure that guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay. The
produce is locally sourced and free range wherever possible, as we are very passionate about supporting local businesses. We also use Fairtrade, and eco/animal friendly
products as part of our aim to provide a true, sustainable, Lake District experience. We also pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as we want your stay to the
northern Lakes to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Due to the elevated position of the property within the village, most guest rooms have views out to the fells of Skiddaw, Latrigg and Blencathra, to name a few, with the
remaining rooms having views out to Fern Howe’s hillside garden and six-acre red squirrel protected woodland, with the addition of one courtyard garden view room.
Our Keswick B&B has ten guest rooms to suit a range of guests, including super king, double, twin, single and family rooms, all of which have en-suite bathrooms.
Within the guest rooms there are flat screen TVs with Free-view; hair dryers; Out of Eden luxury toiletries; mini-fridges; complimentary Wi-Fi; USB ports; fans; kettles;
Farrer’s tea, coffee and hot chocolate; and biscuits. If you are looking for a Keswick bed and breakfast with parking, then we may be perfect for you.
Fern Howe contains a relaxing guest dining area, providing complimentary cake and tea/coffee making facilities. We also have a selection of books and games for guest use.
In addition, we have an outdoor seating area, where guests can sit and admire the view over the fells, whilst perhaps enjoying a drink and snack. Further complimentary
facilities include the use of a drying cupboard; flask refills; literature on local cycle and walking routes; a bicycle storage area and jet wash; and discounts for local
attractions.
Emma and Mark purchased Fern Howe in 2019, which was previously hosting photographic workshop holidays with bed and breakfast Keswick. Since acquiring the
property and setting up Fern Howe B&B Keswick as a business, we have been busy carrying out extensive refurbishments, on what is also our family home. We look
forward to welcoming you to this beautiful location.
